Anne Bell Director of Music
Anne Bell has been actively involved in choral conducting for more than a decade. As Music Director of Children's Choral Programs for the Braille Institute from 1996 to 2006, Ms. Bell recruited for, and implemented the organization's first visually impaired children's choir program. She is credited with developing new techniques for directing visually impaired choirs and under her leadership the choirs performed extensively. Since 1995, Ms. Bell has served as director of the Woman's Chorale through the Volunteer League of the San Fernando Valley. As part of its mission, the choir sings in over 50 assisted care facilities in Los Angeles each year. She is also Children's Choir Director for the Northridge United Methodist Church, a position she has held since 1991.
In 2003-2004, Ms. Bell served as Assistant Director for the Fountain Theatre's production of "The Master Class" in Los Angeles. The production received critical acclaim and was extended twice. As Music Director at St. Stephen's Church since 2000, Ms. Bell directs the adult, bell and children's choirs. Under her direction, the music program has made significant growth.
Ms. Bell earned degrees in music, journalism and psychology from University of California, Santa Barbara and Cal State University, Northridge. She is a professional singer and teaches private voice lessons. Anne has two daughters, Maggie and Mary, and lives in Woodland Hills.

Suzanne Recer Church Organist and Pianist
Suzanne Recer has been a coach and accompanist in the Voice Department of California State University, Northridge since 1982. Her work has included accompanying voice lessons, coaching, performing in dozens of voice recitals each year and, since 1994, acting as opera coach and accompanist for the university's nationally recognized opera program.
A native of Oklahoma, Ms. Recer began her formal training there at Cameron University, then later graduated from Cal State Northridge. From 1979 to 1984, Ms. Recer served as the Music Director of the Los Angeles Music Theatre Company, preparing and performing in each opera production. Before returning professionally to Cal State Northridge, she spent three years on the faculty of Chapman College as a piano instructor in addition to accompanying for the university's choral ensembles, opera productions, as well as faculty and student voice recitals.
As a frequent recital partner, Ms. Recer has performed for the San Francisco Opera Affiliate Artist Series as well as numerous concerts for both instrumentalists and singers throughout California and the Southwest. Suzanne Recer was an opera coach and accompanist for both the 1996 and 1998 Cal State Summer Arts Festivals in Long Beach. She has been a faculty member of the Operaworks Summer Program since 2000 and spent two years on the music staff of Glendale College. Suzanne Recer has been the organist/pianist at St. Stephen's since September of 2004.
